  Handed in our materials by her deadline to have my 2016 taxes submitted by tax day. A few weeks later, her staff let me know that they would not be completed on time and they will need to file an extension. I'm like "ok, but I know we owe a lot and I don't want to be penalized for late payment or any interest due to the fact that you couldn't finish our taxes when you said they'd be finished." They offered to do a quick look at the basics and gave me a payment amount to avoid any penalties. I paid the amount, and figured all was fine. TODAY, I am alerted our taxes are done, and I owe another $5000. This should have easily been avoided since even I knew based on our income this year that we wouldn't qualify for the child tax credit or student loan interest deductions (which is where this extra $5k is coming from). So now I have to pay penalties and interest because Jenny L Baker CPA PC took 4 months longer to finish my taxes than she promised. To be fair, she did say she'd pay half of my penalty/interest, but why wouldn't she be responsible for all of it? She promised to file my taxes by April 18, 2017 and we're at August 24, 2017 and only today finished my return. *STEER CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS

  I was her client of five years and was surprised this last time by a bill for me asking her by email about money due to the IRS on taxes that she completed. I was charged $100/hr for her having to look at the issue and email me back telling me it was my fault and I should pay it. After telling her I was surprised by the bill and would have just paid the IRS first instead of her charging me to just tell me to pay them, she emailed me back with a very condescending tone to basically say any and all issues are and always have been my fault and at the end she patronized me by telling me not to call her "Jen" because her name is "Jenny." Can you believe that??? Apparently by other reviews I'm not the only one that feels treated this way by her. You would think multiple negative reviews would make her take an empathetic approach instead of a condescending one, or maybe she wants a negative reputation???...

  Terrible Experience - It took her literally 5 months to do a basic personal income tax form, despite her office staff telling me it would be "just a few weeks" after the tax deadline, and we met in January. I e-mailed to follow up and ask questions several times with extremely poor response time and no follow up to the questions I asked. When I went to pick up my returns, she couldn't be bothered to come and talk to me. Instead her office staff relayed questions to her. I left without the basic services I had asked for having been provided. I now am left to pay someone else to help me as "they didn't know" how to answer the questions I had - despite the fact that we spoke in detail when we met, and I sent 2 follow up e-mails letting her know what questions I had. My experience was a total and compete disaster. Do NOT recommend.
